Once Click to Help Change America

Change.org is holding a competition “Ideas for change in America”.  We’ve submitted the TRADE Act, and need your one click online to replace NAFTA and the so-called ‘free trade’ model with this fair way forward.  You can read more and vote for the idea by clicking the following link:

We need your one click online to replace the NAFTA so-called 'free trade' model with something fair. The top 10 ideas will be presented to the Obama Administration, and then shared with Change.org's full community of more than 1 million people.

There are three ways you can help promote the 2010 Trade Reform, Accountability, Development and Employment Act:

  1. Go to Change.org and vote for the TRADE Act, a fair way forward for reform.
  2. While at that webpage, post the issue to your Facebook page using the share button.
  3. Forward this email on to others, and ask them to do the same.

Many thanks for all you do to promote fair trade.

NYCTC Hosted Three Successful "Battle In Seattle" House Parties in December!

Battle in Seattle Party in Albany
November 30, 2009 marked the 10th anniversary of the "Battle in Seattle" when 50,000 citizen activists shut down the World Trade Organization (WTO) meetings in Seattle, WA. NYCTC Hosted Martha Giraldo Lucia Villano

Maria Giraldo Lucia VillanoMartha's father was assassinated by the Colombian government and serves as a tragic example of the human rights abuses in that country. In cooperation with Witness for Peace New England, NYCTC arranged for Martha to visit South Glens Falls to share her story. Trade agreements between the United States and Colombia must be predicated on improved hman rights standards in Colombia.
